Absent Requiem
By Sam (Drowned by Darkness)
Airy, so airy nights
The breeze wisps away the light
Cemetery graves are home to harboring slaves-
As the pitiful pick their fights
The starry dark sky is cold
And the embers cease to live
As the lovers try to make new from old
From sorrow's legs and limbs
Fire grasps within its hands
The evil plans gone wholesome
As heaven tries to make amends
Life is but a requiem
Green, luminous grass stained red
By the blood spent from the warriors
They dyed this earth, scarlet for best
As they now are heroes, lain to rest
Many eyes shot, afraid from wonder
Others ponder, and begin to tantrum.
As time grins and shudders a laugh
Life is but, a requiem.

Lonely Nights
By Sam (Drowned By Darkness)
Tragic, lonely nights
I sit by the fire; drowsy.
My eyes shift, left than right-
As I imagine you coming closer
Your eyes are sapphires
Glistening, against the moon.
As I look towards your attire-
I gasp, like some idiotic buffoon
But yet you are only imagery
Only
a figment of my thoughts.
I try to keep on looking towards you-
But I seem so lost.
My life is like an ice cube
Slowly melting away
And it's like this, on these gloomy winter nights,
That I wish for the better days
Hi Sam
Terry Pratchet said that writing is the most fun anyone can have on their own.
Keep it up.
What you're writing is good stuff, straight from the heart. It's important.
