I've been trying to tell people that for years! Where does it get me?
Locked up or in therapy that's where. Sad

Well - it got you to Brisbane - it was obviously too overwhelming a concept for Sydney to cope with! Confused Cool

Sorry to butt in and talk music, but there is some great music here. The only stuff that made it to the UK was AC/DC, INXS, Ms Minogue (x2 unfortunately), Delta, and John Farnham (You're The Voice only though).

The Sleepy Jackson, Jet (when The Beatles met The Stones in Melbourne), The Superjesus, David Lane (11 Reasons To Sing - everyone should have a copy), Powderfinger (Vulture Street, at least), Grinspoon - all great stuff that should be taken to the rest of the planet.

I've never heard on of one person who likes Kylie. Then why is she making so much money? I don't understand it at all. She couldn't carry a tune if her life depended on it. Her sister actually can sing.

Kylie is royalty in the UK - her songs are always hits. And its now allowable to admit to liking her too.

"Can't Get You Out Of My Head" was a great pop song, whether you like it or not.

Usually Kylie's stuff is just well-made, well-produced pop, that manages to appeal to people in their 20's as well as teens. And her image is now pretty high.

Guatam likes Kylie. She has been a "gay icon", as they say, for some time now.

Probably not - she's had so much plastic surgery she won't be able to open her mouth (things you learn at the hairdressers! Confused )

And she can still walk and talk - and bothers to turn up to face you lot - she must be a saint!

There's lots going on, musically, in the pub scene here in Melbourne, but I'm sorry to say, I haven't kept up with the very, very latest. I have always been a big fan of Paul Kelly, though. Have liked just about every album he's made. Very Oz.

Melbourne, eh? Ever hear of a bunch of local street musicians who used to go by the name "The Band Who Knew Too Much"?

Definitely one of the best songwriters in the country.

Nope, doesn't ring any bells, patiodog .... Perhaps you could sing the first few lines of a more famous track & I'll see if it registers ...
