I'm looking for The Star's article on single women. It talked about the higher divorce rate and higher single rate of women, etc. Can anybody provide me a link with that full article? This is what I have found http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&call_pageid=971358637177&c=Article&cid=1141858212016

This is a tiny portion of what I'm looking for and I know the full article will be of better use for me, thanks.

Not always. It could happen but the numbers don't have to play out that way.

Let's say you have 3 women and 3 men. Man #1 marries woman A and then they divorce. Man #1 then marries woman B and they divorce. Man #1 then marries woman C and they divorce.

You have 3 divorced women and one divorced man in the group.

Because the original article from the Star will only be available for another day or two I'll quote it here:

Well, I think the same calculation of 3 men and 3 women could apply in reverse - one woman marrying and divorcing serially; this would balance out that example.

The article was part of the Star' special report on the International Women Day 2006:

Article as printed on the frontpage and continued on page 7 (though not really different from the online version  ):
