trust in the black starless night
heavy with sleep and relief
trust in the crickets beyond the window
happy with monotonous routine

incense burns soft orange glow
scented smoke invisible
in my dark quite room
I can here the ash fall

trust in the pool filter
turning on and off
exactly every 6 hours
sometimes familiarity makes
me less anxious
trust me to see
shapes in the dark that
move and breathe...

slowly the night
drags me down
