i'm having trouble renaming music and video files.
for instance a music video will have a spelling error in the title and since i'm anal i try and change it. i right click and rewrite it how i want and it's all fine but when i play it in Windows Media Player it doesn't change...
any help?
Hmm, could it be something in the file attributes/properties? I am assuming you mean you can actually change the file name, e. g. to correctlyspelledsongtitle.mpg but when you play the file, the title in Media Player says something like Song With a Title No One Can Spel
Try clicking properties, there's probably some sort of a properties thing (for Excel, for example, it's under the File tab), there might be something you need to change there, too.
when you play your music/video in Windows Media Player, right click on the name of the file, there will be Advanced Tag Editor, click that and you can rename the file as you would like to appear on the Now Playing List
you can even add artist info, track info, lyrics, pictures, comments etc etc
anything i can do for a2k
i got so many useful tips from this site
