pls help
i got this message:
Code:
windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
You can attempt to repair the file by starting Windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair
Do what it says. Windows cannot start because a vital system file is missing. In this case part of your registry is missing or damaged. Maybe your hard drive is failing. This is severe damage, you may be better off re installing Windows. Try to think what you did that may have damaged your registry.
is there anyway of reinstalling windows withouht losing my files?? that's wot i wanna know and if so, how do i do?
A repair won't destroy your data files. Reinstalling Windows won't either, unless you tell it to format the partition.
