"Confidence"

"Confidence" Having seen Ed burns and Dustin Hoffman interviewed several times in regard to the movie "Confidence", I was really looking forward to it. "Confidence' supposedly outdoes "Sting" and the con game in it.

I found "Confidence self-conscious of its cleverness. And muddled.

I think the most important thing about "Confidence" is that it is filled with characters who were abandoned by their mothers - despicable scumbags.
I didn't care what their problems were.

"The Sting" had charm and STYLE (a very difficult term).
"Confidence" has neither.
