First that idiot judge gives a pedophile 60 days for repeatedly raping a little girl, which was only overturned because of public outcry and now we have another case they are talking about on the news, where a man raped his 5 year old daughter repeatedly, and received a sentence of 4 1/2 years. The Judge told him he'll have to be ready for the "long haul." 4 1/2 years???? There are potheads who do longer sentences, geez.
This wasn't any normal rape either, he anally raped this girl on multiple occasions, a 5 YEAR old, his DAUGHTER, what the hell? 4 1/2 years?? So he can get out in half a decade and do it again, probably to someone else's kid????
Do they just hate children in Vermont or something??????
I haven't heard about the second case you mention, cereal, but the first sentence was so light because the judge wanted the guy to get treatment and his offence wasn't considered serious enough for the state to give him treatment in jail. He would have been just an ordinary prisoner.
After the outcry, the state agreed to give the man treatment in prison, and the judge lengthened his term. It is to be hoped that, upon his release, he will have rehabilitated himself and will not offend again.
