I use the Norton Protected Recycle bin, but recently, I deleted a folder, which inside got few documents, I use Shift + Del to delete, and I found that the files is in the Norton Protected Recycle Bin , but I was unable to purge it or restore it, it said to be Norton Protected File missing or something like that, can it be solved? Thanks in advanced.
The folder might be recoverable, with some work. Just about anything is, with enough work. What it generally comes down to is how much work recovering the item is worth to you. If there's a problem with Norton Protected itself, its quite likely there's gonna be quite a bit of work involved. Your best option, and even then there's no absolute guarantee, might be a commercial file recovery/undelete application.
What is your Operating System/ServicePack, what is your version of Norton Protected, what exact proceedure did you use to attempt to recover the item, what else was running on the machine at the time, what exactly were the results of your recovery attempt, and what exactly was the error message you received? How much use has the machine had since you deleted the item, and, in the time since you deleted it, have you performed any operating system updates, installed or removed any software, used System Restore, run a virus scan, antspyware scan, or defragged?
