My life was over...there was nothing left for me. In two hours I was moving only about 10000 miles, but it may as well have been 100000 miles away.
My bags were packed and my goodbyies were said. I now only had to leave. My house seemed empty. It also seemed a lot bigger without all my junk in it.
the taxi came and i was taken to the coach. the coach took me to the ferry and we were due to leave in just one hour for france. To leave my old life behind...
The ferry sped out of the port and we were soon out into the wide open channel.
The boat picked up speed. It actually picked up an awful lot of speed. It was the fastest boat I had ever travelled in. Some others noticed how quick we were going to be there.
On the horizon we could see the coast of normandy. But still the ferry gained speed. I knew we were going far too fast. there was no way we could stop in time.
As the coast was only a few hundred yards awaay when it happeneed. the strain the crew had put on the engine had finally taken it's toll aaaaaaaaaaaaand...
BOOM!!!!!!
An explosion ripped apart the bottom of the ship, a boiler had overloaded and oil was now leaking out into the sea...
and water was leaking in
To be continued...
