OK - I know how to post and image and all that....

Why is it, that sometimes, even when doing it correctly, it still won't appear?

Just the address comes up.

I just tried to post 4 different images of the same subject, before one "took"

I don't know, I find myself avoiding gif's, ususally go for the jpeg's.

Does anyone else run into this?

It could be 'cause the site you're posting from doesn't allow hotlinking, or you might be posting a pic that's from a place that's password-protected, or there's a session ID in the url and it's (to use the technical term) screwing things up. Hence the white box with the red x, or just the url. Pain in the patoot, but that's the 'net.

Thanks

Is there anyway to look at the address and tell if it will post or not?

Geocities never works; MSN sites work but only if you use the thumbnail and not the full image, as I recall. And you can also use preview and check. I usually end up doing that.

PS I've been meaning to tell you, this current av (Bardot, yes?) is very pretty.

oh thanks....actually, I'm thinking of changing again, when I can find another beauty from anywhere between the 30's and 1960.

She's one of my favorites.

Sophia's good.

But speaking on behalf of the boys, Chai....I think that someone like this would be quite acceptable.

Yeah, she's one I'm thinking of....something about her though.

I mean she's beautiful and has a strong personality and everything. I don't know, maybe it's because she olive complected and I'm elmers glue complected (not that bad really)

I just don't "feel" her.

Please, feel free to make suggestions. It's just got to hit me.

I've had....Rita Hayworth, Gloria Swanson, Rachel Welch (I didn't "feel" her either) Dolly Parton, who I just think has the greatest outlook on life. Mariska Haggarty who is so beautiful, even though she's a current actress. Then, when someone made a comment that I finally picked one without a big chest, just for a spoof I put up Mariska's mother, Jayne Mansfield. Now Bridget.

Nah, sorry soz, not sexy enough. I always have a vibe when Chai bursts on to the scene.

I see her in my minds eye, looking like Julie Christie....

Lord Ellpus

Those women are too skinny!

I need one that is full of Joie de Vivre and not afraid to eat an extra crumpet.

I don't want to spread the angst among my sisters of not having the "perfect" body.

You see, the only word I could focus on there was crumpet.

I think I need my tablets.

Oh, just thought....you might not know what naughty meaning we attach to the word crumpet.

Not very PC, but it's a word that is used by big hairy builders to describe a gorgeous looking woman.
