I did not realize there were three different participants in this years Super Bowl. Pittsburgh, Seattle and the men in stripes. And the winner was the men in stripes. That aside for those who watch football what do you think of the officiating, IMO it has become worse and worse over the last few years. Too many questionable and phantom calls. It has been said a "conscientious" group of officials can call a penalty on almost every play.
What is your opinion are the refs. being over zealous?

Well, I dont really follow sports much but as far as the SB goes, I will admit that Seattle didnt bring their game but in the first quarter. When the refs started a one sided attack against them the game changed significantly. Not just the score but the attitude. Had the Hawks gone into the 2nd half up 3 points like they should have been the outcome of the game would have been totally different, IMO.

Sea-Squawks lost...plain and simple. An 11 point victory by the Steelers shows that the Washed Up Washington Whiners never had even a remote chance of winning. One bad call did not give the Steelers the win...it was the plain and simple fact that the Sea-Squawks are an inferior team which by rights never should have even made it to the SuperBowl.

And you think that bad calls have no influence on the outcome of a football game. I have seen many a game turn on one.
That aside what do you think of officiating in general. Are the Refs. being too critical?

There were possible bad calls on both sides and bad calls can be the reason a game is lost by one or 2 points but when the margin is this wide it can no longer be attributed solely to what may or may not have been a bad call. Keep in mind, the losing team always points at a call which costs them yardage or anything else and scream that it was unfair. If the same calls were made with the exact same set of situations and ruled against the Steelers, you can rest assured the Squawks wouldn't have thought anything was wrong.

Steelers won, Sea-squawks lost...nothing else to it...victory went to the better team.

Over the season bad calls would tend to even out. However on any given Sunday a bad call can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Not when it is an 11 point defeat of a loser team.

The Seahawks are the better team, but just happened to lose on Sunday. If the two teams played a full 16 game season against each other the Seahawks would have an 11-5 record.

Very simple really.

You mean the Sea-squawks would have a 5-11 record...

You and your minions of 12 eared Chesterfield smoking weasels have no proof of this no matter how much you wave those magenta colored flags and speak in limericks.
