how do I clear my browser cache? i,m a newbie.
Assuming you are using IE:
Click "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Delete files", "Delete Cookies", and "Clear History".
If anyone can answer this for me - while this will clear the drop down history in the URL Address bar, if you type in there, you still get autocomplete for places you've visited before. How do you clear that?
Not sure if you can do it in IE (I use Firefox), but you can try the
CleanUp! utility, and it will clean up a lot of the cache files on your system.
cjhsa- I don't like to delete my cookies. I have done it, and then I find that I have to sign in on sites that I just used to access immediately before. It's a real pain in the neck. I wish that there were some way of identifying a cookie, so you know which ones you want to delete.
I use a spyware program, and if there are any cookies that are threats, I will delete them.
