Not so much made him do gardening - the dynasties became overthrown by Sun Yet Sen and he became a commoner and a gardener. Good riddance to the dynasties, although most of them did a good job and turned China into a great country in the past, China would have been in a better position without the minority who couldn't run their own lives properly, let alone a country.

Yes - the tennis was pretty good - actually got to go down to Melbourne for a cuppla days with a mate. Sat up and watched the mens final - great stuff - and surprisingly, from Roger Federer - great emotion! Perhaps we should make Roger Federer King (I'd prefer Pat Rafter- much more decorative, but.... Smile

No - I don't think it's just being a British prince - there are some fairly degenerate types in other nations - e.g., Ernst of Hanover appears to be a total waste of space! But those brit princes are really dickheads!

Danish prince fred seems OK so far - but his brother, whose name temporarily escapes me, seems a bit ho-hum!

HRH Ernst August of Hannover (Hannover has two 'n's') is a British prince: His Royal Highness The Prince of Hanover, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Prince of Great Britain and Ireland,
(Although he legally doesn't have a valid British title and no Irish title at all.)

He's No. 403 in the line of succession to the British Throne . :wink:

Well, not from any of the titles but from what the Welfs (that's the original name for the dynasty) own here.
And they sold now some bits and pieces from various castles at Sotheby's (or Christie's).
