Tywvel, I think (with you I believe) that while language serves the essential function of permitting human society, it does not reflect our essentially nameless Reality. This even applies to our limiting concepts, such as "nothing", "it", "this"--and "whatever."

I like to think of our natural state as being the mid point on some kind of measuring device like a radiometer that springs from one side to the other depending on circumstance. We encounter, respond and move on, constantly in a state of reaction. How well we deal with the good and bad and how easily we fall back to a natural or neutral state determines are contentment within and enjoyment of life. Maybe.
