I upgraded iTunes and now it won't open at all, it keeps saying that there is another iTunes program installed on the computer. It also won't uninstall. I've tried various things from the apple website help page.
Can anyone help?
What kind of computer/OS are you using?
I'm using a laptop and Windows XP. The iTunes was working fine, no problems at all until the 'upgrade'.
I just double clicked the symbol again, it says:
Errors encountered while performing the operation. Look at the information window for more details.
It doesn't have an info window, and the picture at the baseline of the screen says iTunes + QuickTime. The green music note coming out of a brown box. I have an iTunes Setup symbol that also does exactly the same as this when clicked on.
I had some problems with the upgrade. Anyway, I uninstalled both Quicktime and iTunes as the installation setup I had linked them together. Re-install, using the new installation setup and it worked.
No idea why there was a problem in the 1st place though.
Thank you for your help, I uninstalled Quicktime then that allowed me to uninstall iTunes. I have just downloaded it again and it seems to be working fine so far.
Will ignore any upgrade messages from iTunes from now on!
