What is the Fruit of the Spirit?

When speaking of the fruit of the spirit it is pretty commonly understood that this is the behavior that one exhibits reflecting the change that Christ has made in one's life.

Galations 5:22-23 says there are nine fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

No one is perfect so therefore; no one has perfect fruit. I think the main thing is to have it most of the time, always striving to refine those fruits.

When you think of your fruit of the spirit, do you view it as something you have in general? Some of the time? Which fruit of the spirit do you think is the most important?

I'm pretty sure the fruit of too much spirits is a hangover.

I've never heard it described that way.
But, yes, I think that's what most of us do.
No one is perfect but we strive to be the best we can.
I know I do.
and I'm the least perfect person I know

Welcome to A2K Kehoe. I am happy to meet you!

Unfortunately, I think most people think Christians are supposed to be perfect. It's hard enough just trying to be a better person without having to be perfect. Thank God for Jesus and His forgiveness!

Personally, I need some more longsuffering and self-control. My temper tends to get the better of me at times and I lash out. I never feel good about it. Hopefully, someday with much prayer and putting it into action, I will get there.

Once again, Welcome to A2K!

Thank you, Momma Angel Very Happy
It's really nice to be here.
I'm enjoying all the different topics here.

I need lots of help with the self control too.
And learning more patience is a big one.
But I try to be the best person I know how.
And I believe that's all that we can do.

I believe if whatever we do comes from the best, purest intentions then we will succeed in whatever we try.

Thank you again, for the welcome.
I hope to see you around here again. Very Happy
Have a great day/night. Very Happy
