dlowan ; I have not run across a lesbian prostitute as yet, in my travels.
I once worked for a guy that gave me a ride home from work. He generally stopped off at a spot called The Crystal Pistol (It's no longer there). A girl working there became the object of his quest for gratification. He bought her expensive drinks endlessly, but they could never compromise on a price. She was holding out for $400. During one of his trips to the john, she told another friend and me that she was a lesbian.
Ah....I did not mean that no prostitutes were lesbians, I meant that I have not run across prostitutes FOR lesbians.
I've never heard of prostitutes marketing themselves to lesbians. I have heard tho that a number of female strippers are gay. Same for male strippers. It makes sense with the guys. If nothing else, there are no pesky erections popping up in the middle of a performance.

Be assured that some offer such services (here in Germany, at least).
Oy.
There you go.
I will hafta ask around here!
I've worked with our county's health department - prostitute's office (associated to it) for a couple of years

That seems very intrusive to me.
Sheesh...whether he comes or not is surely the fella's business?
Well, I guess if you pay for it ... I dunno! <shakes head, grins>
Another thing...unless the guys are quite young, they can accomodate only a couple of women a day. Is that financially smart? In a brothel, it's all about quantity, right, as opposed to an escort service which focuses on one client per evening? I guess there will be many guys but how many? There's got to be a rest & recovery period, know what I mean?
There are some logistics to work out...

Male Brothels
Will they? Doesn't it really depend on the physical assets of the males in the pen?

All valid points! Another aspect of course must be the night/day cycle. Some guys perform better at night than during the day.

So, do you think that women will pay for it openly?
Women who hire male escorts often pay for any sex that comes with the
"date".
Enjoy...

Sounds like some of our 30 year old female high school teachers, who're seducing 16 year old boys.

Elaborate, please!

Many male strippers are gay, which makes sense since alot of times, at private parties, they're rubbing against women (or women are rubbing up against them). If nothing else, there are no pesky erections popping up in the middle of a performance.
Yep. An erection is a big no-no in male exotic dancing.
I was hoping that more women would share their opinion about the potential of a male brothel.
im not sure i see alot of potential in it.
Frankly, if there was a big demand for male to female paid sex, you would see it as readily as you do female to male paid sex.
on the street corners
in strip clubs
at bars...
then again.. im just guessing.
it's so easy to get men for free if one wants...why ever pay for it?
I think it has plenty of potential. Just don't know if I can add anything to what's been already said here. I think the whole point about how a woman could just go out and find a man to have sex with is a non-starter, for a lot of reasons, most of which have already been laid out. Some of the reasons I don't think I saw is that the most obvious place to find a guy who seems trustworthy to have sex with (but just sex) would be someone who is within one's circle of acquaintances -- and that opens too many cans of worms.
In other words, I'm not at all sure that the women who would do this are so different from the rock stars and such who certainly could get it free but want them to go away afterwards. It's not like men can't be clingy and annoying, too. That seems to be a truism that was being ignored in (whichever article/ cite).
That's one end of the spectrum, anyway, the women who could get free sex easily but don't want to for whatever reason. Then there are also the many women who have a hard time finding someone who is halfway decent (-looking or -acting).
A third thing I don't think has been mentioned is the idea of learning about sex in a low-risk environment. I read the "Clan of the Cave Bear" series when I was in early high school, I think, and I remember being very favorably impressed with the situation in the guy's society (Jondalar?) where young men and women were introduced to sex by a knowledgeable teacher-figure, something to learn like anything else. OK that sounds creepy as I write (young MEN and WOMEN -- adults) but I could see that there would be women who would want to practice, so to speak. Same as the situation with young men and brothels forever.
