I have two tickets and a coupon for a bucket of popcorn burning a hole in my pocet and I don't know what to use them on. Nothing out there right now sounds all that appealing. Here is what is playing at my favorite theater:
BLOODRAYNE
CASANOVA
CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2
CHICKEN LITTLE
CHRONICLES OF NARNIA 1
FAMILY STONE
FUN WITH DICK AND JANE
GRANDMA'S BOY
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
HOSTEL
KING KONG
MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA
MUNICH
PRODUCERS
RINGER
RUMOR HAS IT
WALK THE LINE
WOLF CREEK
Any recommendations?
I've heard a lot of good things about Munich. Probably not a great feelgood choice though.
Walk The Line is supposed to be pretty good.
I like Johnny Cash and I've heard it is a pretty good movie, but it just isn't ringing my bell. I might consider Munich.
I want to see them both, but I'll have to be in the right mood, if you know what I mean.
I've heard some good things about King Kong, but I'm a Fay Wray man, myself.
Have you seen Good Night and Good Luck ?
Memoirs of a Geisha also got good reviews . . .
i know 3 people who saw king kong and wanted the money back..
yeah... King Kong really doesn't interest me at all. I can wait for video on that one.
Everyone I talked to thought King Kong was great.
Munich got great reviews but is one of those controversial movies.
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 is a sequal...need I say more?
Fun with Dick and Jane might be intersting ifyou like Jim Carrey...Or it will be a huge flop.
Walk the Line has been getting unbelievable reviews from people.
Harry Potter...you have to have seen the other movies and this one is a transitional one.
Hostel looks....like QT....Reservoir Dogs jacked up I think.
I vote Family Stone. But that's just me.
You can read all the reviews here:

maybe something will strike your fancy after reading what others think.
What? My reviews weren't good enough?
Hrumph. Fine.
In my humble opinion, popcorn worthy films are:
Narnia, Harry Potter, King Kong, Memoirs, Munich, Walk the Line
Others I have not seen and some of them I think you may want to wait for Netflix. What did everyone think of the Producers? Anyone seen the Broadway version last year - any comparisons?
Fun with Dick and Jane is a remake, and i doubt they can top the original, with George Segal and Jane Fonda . . .
I saw the original movie in the theater in 1969--then i saw the Broadway road show in Toronto. I greatly enjoyed both, but i don't think the road show topped Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder in the original movie. I suspect the movie remake of the broadway remake of the original movie would be worth the ticket price.
It would be hard to top the original Producers too...
That is an all time classic.
I don't know... maybe I should just wait. is there anything good coming out soon?
<psst that wasn't a Broadway road show>
if anyone was wondering why Setanta and I only go to animated kiddie movies together ^^^^
ok ok
I knew you weren't wondering
I was referring to The Producers in my previous post. I saw it in the theater, and although i knew Zero Mostel, i'd never heard of Gene Wilder. It was high-larious . . .
That's what I was talking about as well.
Boys!
<unless you saw it somewhere else than Tranna>
Rottentomatoes is like the most bestest website ever.
Except slappydoohoo.com, but that's not out yet.
I rented a couple movies this week. Batman Begins, which was pissah, and Wedding Crashers, which I thought was definitely funnier than 40 Y.O. Virgin.
You could just as well be living in my town, jp. Exactly the flicks playing here. The only one that interests me at all is Munich.
