Can someone explain please how anybody can be linked to Kevin Bacon in six moves?
Im confused!
From kevin to kevin in 6 moves or just randomly anybody to kevin in 6 moves??!!
Dalai Lama was a big influence on George Harrison
George Harrison produced or directed Shanghai Surprise with sean Penn
Sean Penn was married to Madonna
Madonna was in 4 Rooms film with Tim Roth
Tim Roth was in Guildenstern and Rosencrantz are dead with Gary Oldman
Gary Oldman was in JFK and so was Kevin Bacon, he was also in Murder in the first too.
Yes, I have too much time on my hands.
Thats the kind of thing I'm talking about material girl, but I read somewhere that everything in hollywood can be linked to Kevin Bacon in 6 moves. Personally I think it is nonsense but I know the kidology behind it
"Six degrees of Kevin Bacon" is played by linking actors through a string of common movies. For instance, Katherine Hepburn can be connected to Kevin Bacon in three steps:
1. Katherine Hepburn was in
On Golden Pond with Jane Fonda
2. Jane Fonda was in
The China Syndrome with Jack Lemmon
3. Jack Lemmon was in
JFK with Kevin Bacon
The real challenge is to connect an actor who made a few films in the 1930s or 1940s to Kevin Bacon. I managed to connect
Butterfly McQueen (Prissy in
Gone With the Wind) to Kevin Bacon in six steps, but it wasn't easy.
Well done!!
I would have had trouble pre 1980's films.
Isnt there a bizarre rumour that Clint Eastwwod is the son of Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy fame?!

Sorry I meant to say I DON'T know the kidology behind it.
Wikpedia:
Six degrees of separation is the theory that anyone on earth can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances that has no more than five intermediaries. The theory was first proposed in 1929 by the Hungarian writer Frigyes Karinthy in a short story called Chains.

Kevin Bacon is the subject of this game because (a) his name kind of sounds and scans like "separation" (the title of the play where this was popularized is called "Six Degrees of Separation") and (b) Bacon is a journeyman actor who has been in a lot of films with a lot of people. He's had a very long career and has made pretty much any type of film imaginable except, far as I can recall, Shakespeare or a period piece. But he's been in horror, romantic comedy, young adult, action, drama, etc.

mg, you could have skipped a few steps there. Sean Penn was in Mystic River with Kevin Bacon.
Okay, let's play.
Can anyone connect Kevin Bacon with...Miss Piggy?
Miss Piggy is a pig bacon comes from pigs
am I getting the hang of this?
Easy one.
Miss Piggy was in The Muppet Christmas Carol with Michael Caine.
Michael Caine was in Hannah & Her Sisters with Dianne Wiest.
Dianne Wiest was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon.

Bruce Dern was in "The 'Burbs" with Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks was in "Apollo 13" WITH KEVIN BACON!
Whew, that was good!
Okay, now let's see...Kevin Bacon and...
