I wish to god Spendius would, first, get laid, and, second, find a regular squeeze, so that we can be spared his obsessional and puerile misogyny.

First of all, hephzibah, I'd like to apologize for getting your thread locked the second time. I quoted something that had been pulled and didn't even realize it was pulled. I had my reply ready for when it was unlocked and didn't check first. Embarrassed

But, I do want to address this with Cicerone Imposter.

It's okay for you to disagree; but I would expect some rational response as to why they deserve any respect or kid gloves. I've called a spade a spade most of my adult life, and "sweet talk" is foreign to me.

Cicerone Imposter,

No one said I didn't have the right to vote just as no one is accusing you of saying that. You said .......no clue why people challenge them and their proselytizing and THEIR LEGAL RIGHT TO VOTE for legislation that discriminates against gays and lesbians. You would dare challenge anyone's legal right to vote for whatever they wanted to vote for?

You are not twisting this around, nor are you going to weasel out of it. It is flat out what you posted. You continually point out how you feel I am a homophobic bigot because I would vote against same sex marriage. Now, you think my legal right to vote against that should be challenged? I'm sorry but that is not right.

In a previous post, you said you do make mistakes. Fine, I can certainly accept a "Momma Angel, I am sorry that I challenged your LEGAL RIGHT to vote for what you want or for whatever reason you want to vote for against anything." I can surely accept that.

I have the exact same right you do when it comes to voting. Just because I do not agree with you makes me nothing other than someone who disagrees with you. You are the one that throws around the labels because of it.

And sir, I do not prostelyze. I have not induced, nor tried to induce anyone to come to my way of thinking. I share what I think, feel, and believe and why. I h ave stated numerous times YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT WHAT I BELIEVE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BELIEVE WHAT I BELIEVE. (Caps for emphasis only.) So, no, I do not prostelyze.

Stand up, say you goofed. It won't hurt. I promise.

Naw, just people who think their legal right extends to creating disciminatory laws against a group of Americans. Some people still think like the people of the old south over a hundred years ago. They never grew up!

Actually, everyone in the United States has the right to try to create whatever kind of law they want to. Doesn't mean it gets passed though, does it?

I have the right to lobby a law to have all the doors in the United States painted orange if I want. And you also have that same right. Is that discriminatory too because I want all orange doors?

Just because I don't want blue doors in the United States doesn't mean I don't like blue doors. It just means I don't like the color blue.

Again, show it to me in the United States Constitution that I CANNOT consider my religious beliefs when voting or lobbying for laws.

We both know you cannot do it, Cicerone Imposter. We both know that we have the exact same rights under the law.

dyslexia,

You know, that's why I have respect for you. You don't play with words. You say what you mean. Now, I realize sometimes you might be joking, but I even find your humor honest.

dyslexia,

Ok, if you never joke, then I have even more respect for you for the mere fact you are honest.

C.I.,

You wouldn't know a compliment would you? I don't have to belittle or hate someone because I don't agree with them. I find dyslexia deserves respect because he is a very honest man. I don't agree with what he believes in, but so what? He is honest.

The only compliment I can think of to give to you is you have a very low threshhold for entertainment.
