[RESOLVED] Help Needed Please!

I have completed all the necesary steps in this post:

I have been having a ton of problems with multiple pop ups at all kinds of times when IE Explorer is running(WHether or not I am actively using it).
Thanks for any help or advice. I have not tried surfing around as I do not want to risk anything else getting during the repair proccess(besides posting this).

ONe more thing I just thought of. While I have IE opened every once in a while I will get a flash on the bottom of the screen. It looks as if a window starts to open and then closes immediately. I am not sure if this means there is something going on but I dont remember it happening except for the last couple of weeks when I started having problems. Thanks again.

need you to disable Microsoft antispyware while running
right click on the Microsoft Antispyware icon and click on Security Agents Status (Enabled) and click on Disable Real-time Protection. To re enable it, you follow the same steps but click on Enable Real-time Protection.

Next

Locate these services, ' NET Framework Service and asurscsi and icfgnt5 and ir50_qcx ' then right click and select properties.
Under Service Status: select Stop
In the drop down box labeled, Startup Type: select Disabled

Don't worry if you don't find them all

Download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

Empty Recycle Bins
Delete Cookies
Delete Prefetch files
Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click Yes.

Next

Please run this online scan ActiveScan when the scan is completed it will give you an option to save the log please do so and rember where you saved it,

Received your e-mail, Thank you, in addition to the above files to be deleted with killbox please add the kbdcr.exe file you sent as well you will need to add the path for it as well
If it was found in the same folder you will want to add
C:\Documents and Settings\Nefear\kbdcr.exe
to the files to be deleted

They were both identified as
TrojanDownloader.Agent.AM

When I ran HJT I could not find the following files. Dunno if that is good or bad thing. I closed HJT restarted comp and tried again to no avail. The others were taken care of.

Also when I browsed to the location for

C:\WINDOWS\System32\icfgnt5.exe

with KillBox I could not see them. I went ahead and entered them manually and ran it with all the files you requested.

I sent the file you requested along with another file from the same directory that was created, modified, and acessed at the same time as the dinput8 one. I do not know what it is.

Hey comp is running much better actually. Also ran the scan and it looks clean. Will attempt to maintain the current status. Thanks again for all the help.

Could you or anyone recommend a good anti-virus program as well as a firewall. I am currently using Zonealarm Firewall and the trial of Norton, Both programs were free. Thanks in advance.

Download the following program, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster

Keep AD-Aware. and Spybot 1.4 handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,
TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.
Click Start | Run | type in cleanmgr | OK

Let it scan your system for files to remove.

Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.

Press OK to remove them.

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here for XP
