Actually, to be bald, I don't consider myself well thought of, much less someone to be rescued.

@Swimpy,
wearing: Black wide pants, dark blue shirt with Hulk figure. And feeling hot (literally, not figuratively). Hey, I was out of clothes.
hearing: The music the bargirl put on .. not a big fan.
eating: Nothing.
drinking: Just had a latte and a big glass of ice water.
doing: Just kind of trolling the web .. I'm tired, had to wake up waaaay too early this morning (night train). Maybe hoping for an email, though that's just being silly. Kind of in waiting mode in general.
feeling: Kind of relieved, for the time being. Happy for having had a lovely weekend. Melancholic about .. stuff.
wanting: A beautiful girl by my side would be nice...
looking forward to: Things settling down and finding something new to enjoy.

@nimh,
It's happened twice lately (and other times over the years with this Mac.) Sometimes I can stop it without shutting the machine off, get the cursor back under control, finish my post, but miss the fact that when the cursor was "running and jumping", it covered a lot of space. Oy!

Nice to see you again..

@nimh,
Hi nimh!

Wearing: swimsuit, pink + white ikat pattern top + sold pink bottom (I'm at the pool)

Hearing: --

Eating: --

Drinking: --

Doing: lounging on the primo chaise I scored, good thing too because my stadium chair is busted. Blackberrying.

Feeling: like crap. Really really missing my best friend -- this was actually one of the earliest things we bonded over, how we hate the pool. Then we started hanging out with each other and it became fun. Today I'm frustrated by several things.

(Although at about the second "really" one friend did come over to talk and I'm now less grumpy than when I started this section. )

Wanting: my best friend to move back. :-( Lacking that, finding someone else who will be as good of a friend. (One frustration was realizing that one friendly acquaintance I had hopes for just isn't gonna pan out...)

Looking forward to: school starting, maybe.

@sozobe,
School starting for you or Sozlet?

Isn't there a bylaw about having to have a cocktail or assorted drink while lounging by the pool?

I think it might even be a federal level felony to lounge by the pool without one. You're lucky no one turned you in Soz.

@tsarstepan,
I think I could get hauled in for lounging by the pool WITH one, here. Pretty sure no alcohol allowed. (Public pool.)

School starting for sozlet. It definitely will be starting, just not sure if it starting is something I'm looking forward to or not.

@ossobuco,
The relationship is great. The state - I'm not jiving with as well. In Georgia, if you wanted to throw **** away, you did. There must be a sizable book about what you can throw where - the procedure and COST. I guess the landfills are actually landfulls... You need a credential to pee...

"Excuse me, I need to pee."
"I need to see your Special California Pee credential, and your valid California driver's license..."
"But, the driver's license process, you said yourself, takes six weeks... and in order to get it, I have to have my birth certificate, which takes six weeks to receive... In Georgia, you only have to have a valid driver's license from your state of origin..."
"Then, maybe you should go back to Georgia."
"I just want to pee."
(slaps padlock on urethra) "See you in three months....unless you try to break California garbage disposal laws, in which case Big Brother will break into your apt in the wee hours, beat you senseless and charge your credit card $549."
"I think $549. is a bit steep for having more than three bags of trash per week."
"Welcome to California."

@Lash,
Heh!

Glad the relationship is great, though.

Me, I'm jealous of California's food waste pick-up (composting). I want that here. But it probably comes with pricetags and rules, you're right. (Is the $549 figure real?)

The $549. is an exaggeration - but we wanted to trash several pieces of furniture, and the costs to do so are exhorbitant. They will only allow us three bags of trash a week and this is awful. They will leave bits of your trash if you haven't properly separated into bins or if some ungodly evildoer drops something in your coveted trash bin passing by. I feel as though I'm being held hostage. I had much more personal freedom in GA. And, I guess because of illegal residents, the driver's license thing is true. You have to provide a birth certificate. Never had that problem before.

Sticker shock has my eyes bugging out. But, hey. (smiling) The important things are really wonderful. Thanks.

@nimh,
wearing: Black dress pants, orange Tilos t-shirt, worn-out sneakers.
hearing: The airco
eating: Just had a croissant.
drinking: Water.
doing: Checking in, responding to an email, checking my to-do list, trying out if the db program they installed works.
feeling: Mellow about yesterday - did a fair bit of work, met Staz outside in the afternoon for a chat, caught up with a friend whom I hadnt talked with, person-to-person, in eons in the evening, and had a sweet, if perhaps last, late-night call on Skype -- in a weird position, since my Internet at home didnt work I was sitting in the doorway with my laptop and headphones on, ha, must have looked like a retard - but it was very nice. A little tense about today, which is not progressing the way I wanted it to.
wanting: To sit outside in the sun
looking forward to: I dunno, really ... will maybe go to a festival this weekend, that would be exciting, but it depends still.
