Oh hey, can anyone recommend a good book on the history of Philosophy besides the novel Sophie's World?

Hmm... I didn't think Sophie's World was particularly good, even though it was written by a fellow countryman.

Schoolbooks can be good. The best one I've read isn't published in other languages than norwegian I think, but the title was something like The history of thought. That might be a better clue to go after than "philosophy". History of ideas are good too. That's what most of us mean when we say history of philosophy.
