lucerne valley

the desert blooms such
violent flora,
lightning branches
budding sunspots.

ive stared at the sun
through a magnifying glass
before.

it burnt my eye for a second
i blinked to smother the heat
but it spreads
like sand
a napalm hollowed eye.
i can still see out of it
but all i see are
silhouettes of
static
miming
crippled light.
