I am very much afraid that my critique of you must now extend to your atrocious writing. You wrote that "He(Simic) is ******* Slavic"
"is *******" denotes an action. Slavic is either a language or the name of an ethnic group. Since "is *******" cannot be logically used with either of those terms above, Slavic must be the name of a person.
Your writing is atrocious. I suggest Strunk and White--"The Elements of Style" as a good beginning, that is, if you are able to comprehend it.
