It is, in my opinion, pretty much accepted that Christ died physically on the cross.
Some say that He also died spiritually and this shows how great His love for us is and how much power He released because He gave up so much for us.
Do you think He died spiritually as well as physically? Why?
No, I do not think he died spiritually. Otherwise we would not have had the ascension and the Holy Ghost being poured into the apostles at Pentecost.
Thanx Intrepid. I don't think He died spiritually either. God cannot die, so if He died a spiritual death also, He would be dead. That totally contradicts the He can't die thing. Also, He is a spirit and a spirit is immortal.
I think if He had died a spiritual death, God would have died also.
Yes Jesus died a Pysical as well as a Spiritual death.
My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me.
Jesus at that moment died totally human, without divinity.
He was totally seperated from God so that the could bear the burden of every sin in a totally human death, both Spiritually and Physically.
