Two weeks ago I purchased a new laptop (Compaq AMD Turion64). So far, I love it. I'm not real pc saavy, I just know the basics. I downloaded Yahoo Messenger but when I try to log in I get a message saying Messenger cannot connect. What the heck is going on??? Do I have to change my proxy settings? If so, how do I do that and what do I do?
I can go into chat rooms, but cannot IM anyone.
Help!!!!!!
Your firewall may be blocking it. Can you use any other instant messaging client, such as MSN or <shudder> AOL?
I'm most familiar with Yahoo but I will try MSN if I can't get Yahoo IM.
