Call it what you will, Setanta. I think sometimes people have to do what is right whether it may seem fair or not.

Which is still not an answer to the question--although one may infer from that that you recognize the position as inherently unfair.

It is not at all new to us to see you dance around a question and refuse to directly answer it when someone has put you on the spot.

Think what you will. I answer to the best of my ability and with honesty.

I think it is fair in the respect that I don't want to see a wrong made right. No one asks you to agree with me.

Have a nice day.

So if I understand you correctly MA, you are saying that your view of Christianity teaches being unfair is right?

As Neo would say, what part of "love thy neighbor" do you not understand?

Mesquite,

That's the whole problem, you DO NOT understand me much at all.

No matter what any one of us in the world do, someone will find it wrong, right, fair, unfair, etc. I cannot and will not live my life trying to please every single person I come into contact with. I follow man's law unless it conflicts with God's law. I will not condone something I believe God says is wrong.

You can find it fair, unfair, right, wrong, etc. What matters to me is what God thinks about it.

MA,
I understand you better than you think. It is you that seems to be having a problem with understanding what you are saying and what its basis is.

Oh yeah, we get that from the vast and profound understanding of one of the most hypocritcal and hateful of christians, in terms of the content of your posts, that i've ever seen here.

Enlighten us, then, MOAN, how do you know god hates fags?

Here's a web site you'll love: Godhatesfags-dot-com

that's just the point MA, no one besides you, seems to understand your reasoning, probably because it isn't reasoning at all. Actually I've never attempted to understand your reasoning, which is why I remain normatively sane.

Setanta,

I have never one time made that statement and you know I have not. I have said I may not like what someone does but it does not give me the right to treat them the way you are trying to portray me.

I won't go to that site. Just the name of that site alone is disgusting. It's not the person that God hates, Setanta. It's the sin. You can't seem to grasp that, can you?

Why? You can't care about someone even if they do something you don't like? Are your friends all perfect? Do you like everything they think, say, and stand for? Or when they disagree with you, do you tell them how idiotic, etc., you feel they are? Do they do the same to you because you disagree with them? If you can't understand the concept, then you can't understand it. If you don't undertand it, then you don't understand it. If you won't understand it, then you won't understand it.

Just because you may not understand it or accept it does not mean it is wrong. And just because I do understand it and accept it does not mean I am right. It's what I believe, understand, accept and STAND BY. If you don't like it, don't read what I post.

I can grasp that you have deluded yourself into believing as much. It is also typical of you that you contend that those who don't accept your self-congratulatory statements and justifications are incapable of understanding you. I understand you just fine.

Don't give me orders. I will read and respond to any posts i see here--as is my right.

Setanta,

Well, then if you are going to read them, then read them right.

I said may not understand, don't understand, won't understand. I don't know why you don't have the understanding that I do. I just accept that you and I don't understand things in the same manner.

Big deal. Just makes us different.

Dys,

Whatever blows up your skirt. But, there are some that understand me. There will those that do and those that don't.

I don't understand some on here either. Doesn't mean they are wrong because I don't understand them.

You are the one with trouble grasping the fact that restricting the rights of homosexuals does squat to restricting sin. It may however have a severe impact on the persons. I will remind you of that fact every time I see that same silly statement made.

Well, perhaps if you would quit thinking I am voting against it to restrict sin, it might help? I am voting that way because if I vote for it, to me, that is condoning the behavior. I said nothing about it actually restricting sin.

Silly statement? Rolling Eyes

Setanta,

I made a statement of how I feel and what I do. You are the one labeling it virtuous.

Glad I can amuse you.http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/heart.gif http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/baby.gif
