don't underestimate the reignin' NCAA champs..even though all they're starters are gone, they are gonna kick ass this year, just watch and see..

Wow......All the J.J. Redick Fans....r u kidding me....Duke won't make it to the Sweet Sixteen!!!....Let's look at it this way...

1) 77-75 Duke over Virginia Tech.........Is virginia Tech Ranked?....Plus it is early in the season, Duke still has to play the likes of Marlyland, Clemson, and Wake Forest.

2) Right now J. J. Redick is averaging 25 points a game.....not bad, but remember what happened last year.......he went stone cold when it came to crunch time, and Duke had to rely on foul proned sheldon williams to carry them. Plus, did J.J. do anything in the offseason except shoot three pointers. He can shoot, but there are alot of other parts to basketball then just shooting, especially if he wants to be in the NBA.

3) There are numerous teams still undefeated ex: Illinois, Villanova, uconn......great teams, great players.

4) Duke doesn't have a deep bench.....foul trouble will hurt them when it gets to tournament.

fonzatbc is right about other teams. I'll take UConn right now--and the other Huskies, the U of Washington, look pretty good, too.

1)Lets look at Texas. #2 ranked and Duke smoked em.

2)Actually watch him closer and you'll see taht he is much more versatile this year. His cutting and driving is much better and he has developed ways to score when he drives.

4)Still tryin to figure out where you're gettin that Duke doesn't have a deep bench. Look at there Freshmen. They're among the best in the country and even Coach K has commented on their skill.

HHMMMMMMMMM.....

UConn easily beat Syracuse last night--on the road. They looked formidable. Could be their year, for sure.

I do, however, delete my vote for the local Huskies. They're too uneven...
