Kate Bush has released an album after twelve years! So I'm looking forward to her first interview in ages (BBC Radio 2, I'll post link, if anybody interested).
...soo, I was listening to The Hounds of Love (forgotten how bloody fantastic it is) and somethings been driving me mad:
At the begining of Hounds of Love a man shouts 'it's in the trees, It's coming'. Now I know this is from an old horror film, but I can't for the life of me remember the title - anybody know?
x
Here's a still of the movie.
Now what was the darn name?
The horror film the quote comes from is "The night of the demon" - 1957.
Francis!!!
Well done!
I can take the puzzled look of my face (very unnatractive)
Les X
Even with the puzzled look you stay one of my prefered...
...you always make me blush francis...
Quote:You stood in the belltower,
But now you're gone.
So who knows all the sights
Of Notre Dame?
They've got the stars for the gallant hearts.
I'm the replacement for your part.
But all I want to do is forget
You, friend.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave me alone.
The first time in my life,
I leave the lights on
To ease my soul.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave it alone.
I don't know,
Is this the right thing to do?
Rehearsing in your things,
I feel guilty.
And retracing all the scenes,
Of your big hit,
Oh, God, you needed the leading role.
It wasn't me who made you go, though.
Now all I want to do is forget
You, friend.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave me alone.
The first time in my life,
I leave the lights on
To ease my soul.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave it alone.
I don't know,
Is this the right thing to do?
Who calls me from the other side
Of the street?
And who taps me on the shoulder?
I turn around, but you're gone.
I've got a hunch that you're following,
To get your own back on me.
So all I want to do is forget
You, friend.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave me alone.
The first time in my life,
I leave the lights on
To ease my soul.
Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror,
Won't leave it alone.
I don't know,
Is this the right thing to do?
Must be at least 25 years - still don't make any sense...
Sorry, smorgs, but I've always found Kate to be a bit on the screechy side. <ducks for cover>
msolga, don't duck - I agree, she can be terribly screechy!
An "acquired taste" I think, smorgs.
Has anyone actually seen these two women TOGETHER??
Out on the whiiiiley windy moors we rooollll and fawlll in green, ....yuo had a tempeeeer like my jealousyyy too hard to greeeeedy......not a screech in site.
Ive heard Rolf Harris appears on her new album plus it contains lyrics like 'my wahing machine goes slooshy slooshy'
I have The Whole Story, The kick inside, The Hounds of Love, the sensual world, The red shoes.
Is the new one worth getting?
Goodie, I shall add it to my christmas list.
