When is the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe coming to theaters? I heard it is phenomenal.
The trailers look real good.
I read the series as a young un. I watched through the terrible movies made of the books. I liked them because I liked the books so much. then I find out that it's a parody of the bible. Man, that almost ruins it for me.
Yeppers, but it is not a parody, it is an allegory.
I ADORED those books as a child...adored them.
When the allegory first dawned on me, I was a devout wee christian, so I thought it was great, then I was sooooooo disappointed...but, allegory be buggered!
I hope it is finally a great version. I am certainly gonna find out.
Allegory! Thanks. I hope it's good too......
I never got into those books as a child. They were too much fantasy for me and I considered them to be for boys. I saw the previews for this movie, though, and it looks great!
Tilda Swinton rocks it as the White Witch..
Quote:Tilda come from Narnia
Tilda get him bail....
It opens here in the UK early December also.Looking forward to seeing it

Most of us know her as 'Juggs'.
I have been reading the entire Chronicles of Narnia with
my 9 year old grandson, Jade. He is SO excited because we are in the middle of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and now it's coming out in the theaters. He has already grasped the concept that there is MUCH more written in the book than you get to see on film and naturally he wants to know it ALL. I never heard of these books until I saw a movie
called Shadowlands about C.S. Lewis and the American poet who he
married (??? Gresham, Joan or Joy or something, the name escapes me)
We really enjoyed The Magician's Nephew too. He often fell asleep so
fast that we barely made any progress for days. I would begin to
read and his little eyes began to close. My other grandson, Seth, who is
6 - now HE passed out after 2 or 3 sentences!!!
I read recently that some churches - maybe in England? are giving out free tickets to the movie for single moms. It seems many churches are using this movie in their sermons.
It is supposed to be the movie of the season. I recently saw the trailer on the website...OMG!!! CANNOT WAIT! This one one of my favorite when I was little and I can't wait for it to be my favorite again.
I just got to see a sneak preview last night with a friend...and all i can say is...amazing. It was SO well done. The audience applauded during the credits. The effects are amazing, but don't distract you which is nice. And the sheer talent of all the actors in the film...I just can't say enough. I'd defintely recommend checking it out
It's at the top of my movies of 2005 list
World premier in London tonight.Prince Charles and his horse-face wife have been invited. This film is creating quite a stir over here, what with it's religious overtones
Actually, I've read that some religious people do not find this movie to be Christian.
