Know Anything about Learning Management Systems?

Hi. I'm an editor, lately for a technical writing company, who got a opportunity to bid on a project. In the proposal the company said the Web-based training would have to intergrate with a Learning Management System, but they didn't give any specifications as to how we should design the training program to do this.

Do any of you know anything about this?

Are they customized? Or do they just somehow add a link to the new training software.
