hi everyone, i don't know if i'm posting in the right place but i'll try anyway.
ok, i'm trying to to use mirc to get some files from a file but for some reason i can't even initiate a dcc get or chat for that matter. it just says connection failed for a dcc get or chat. is there any solution for this? i installed mirc and didn't change any settings. i'm using a wireless router, will that affect anything? any help would be appreciated. thanks!
I assume that you have connectivity with an irc server and that mirc is working to allow you to download channels and enter a channel but that you can't connect directly with another user.
Do you have a firewall operating?
If you check the faq for mirc it may help. There are also some help links on the mirc homepage which may assist. I'm sorry but I can't help much more than that. Others here may be able to do more.
