I have to write an 8 page research topic for my writing class. I need some help brainstorming ideas for something original to write about other than abortion, Iraq war, Bush..etc. One of my friends is writing about Dr. Seuss and political references in Seuss's books.
Can anyone think of some original ideas like my friends where I can easily write 8 pages on?
Does it have to be political?
Physician assisted suicide?
Where do you live?
Sometimes you can come up with some forgotten local history but find that there is tons of information available.
Or, what are you interested in? Any hobbies? Any outside school activities?
I was thinking about relating movies to current politics or something like that

how about South Park and politics...
Good idea.
How about the recent film that the South Park mob did - something about World Police? Linking that with international politics could be interesting.
The idea of south park is good but I'm not sure if my writing teacher has seen south park. I was thinking of something that was more universal..that everyone has seen or come in contact with.
How about the pitfalls of monarchy in general?
I am sure, the british imports here woulde be a
well of information.
How about the devolution of Garfield from cat to brat in xmany short years. It's novel and could be interesting. A topic like this simply must sound scholarly, however.
Oh oh oh! You should do it on Boilerplate man!
It might be hard to come up with 8 pages and your teacher may smell a rat but if she doesn't she wouldn't be the first!
Yeah! Boilerplate man!
