I had a problem and had to reinstall AOL and McAfee. AOL reinstalled fine but I am having trouble restalling McAfee. I keep getting the following message. I hope that someone can help. "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not load correctly. The page stays blank. Thanks for any help.
Try this: From Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Zone > Sites (if necessary, click "Custom" to permit addition of sites to the Trusted Zone - and be sure
the box labled ""Require Server verification ... " is NOT checked) ... type, without the quotes, "*.mcafee.com" into the box labled "Add this Web site to the zone", click "Add", click "OK", then click "General", and delete both Cookies and Files (when deleting files, click to select "Delete all off-line content"). Close all instances of Internet Explorer. If you are running a 3rd-party firewall, be sure McAfee.com is listed in whatever that firewall's privileged zone might be. Consult the firewall's documentation for specific instructions.
When you next access the McFee download, be sure to authorize the instalation of the ActiveX control when you are prompted to do so.
