hoping someone can help me.
i was replying to an email went i hit some keys (or did something) while typing. i then had a symbol all over this email. the symbol is like a music symbol but not, no other way of describing it. each time i hit reply or forward with an email it appears all over the page. i have no idea how to get rid of this. not even sure how it happened except that i was using my new laptop and I'm still trying to get use to the keys being so close together.
i am running Win XP and office 2002 with MS outlook 2002 for my main email program.

it sounds like you have turned the new line character on. Is it a small "P" shaped character at the end of each line?
EDIT: i didnt see that you were using Outlook. I dont have Office, but there should be an option in the view menu or in settings somewhere about "show newline character" or similar, just disable that
thanks for your reply, yes i did turn it on and didn't even know there was such a feature on the tool bar. i must have turned it on using a short cut key while typing. i am getting use to the keys being so much closer together on the laptop.
it is all fixed now, but thank you....
