Hate to tell ya, bud, but if your criteria is perfection for Christians (which it would seem to be, if display of hostility disqualifies), you ain't gonna find any. It's kind of a ridiculous premise anyway - real Christians believe they were the sinful sick ones who NEEDED saving, and their good or bad behavior has little to do with Christ's acceptance of them.

But Dys, your whole purpose for this thread was to take yet another swipe at Christians, so I guess your purpose was served.

I'm a Christian... I'm a lapsed one with neo-pagan and Taoist sympathies and the understanding that the feminine aspect of the godhead has been foolishly destroyed by established western religion.

That's somewhat true, at least here in Europe, where we divide religions in Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists .... and others.
(And Christians e.g. in Germany are divided [mainly] in Catholics, Evangelicals/Protestants*, Anglicans, ... and 'sects'.)

*these terms used synonymously, depending in which regoin you live. About 90+% of the Lutheran/United/Reformed churches [=23] are together in the 'Evangelical Church of Germany'

Right, Walter. The term "evangelical" has a different meaning in Northern Europe than in the United States. Many "mainstream" Protestant churches have the Evangelical prefix, whereas in the US it's almost exclusively reserved for sects that are also known as "fundamentalist."

...and he would make the judgement of their "living by christian precepts" by what they write on this forum? Brilliant.

That's what always surprises me, since 'eveangelical' has been used since 1521 for the church(es) of Luther and his followers, who stressed justification by faith in Jesus Christ and based their faith on Scripture alone: they are generally (outsite the USA) known as Evangelicals.

What I wanted to point at as well that here (Europe and perhaps elsewhere outsite the USA) 'Christians' are the members of a church (or group) professing Christian doctrine or belief.
(Which doesn't mean that people of other beliefs could e.g. the Christian Democratic Parties as well Laughing )

The term Christian means "belonging to Christ" and is derived from the Greek noun Χριστός Khristós which means "anointed one," which is itself a translation of the Hebrew word Moshiach (Hebrew: משיח, also written "Messiah"), (and in Arabic it is pronounced Maseeh مسيح). ...

the name given by the Greeks or Romans, probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus ("little Christ's!"). It was first used at Antioch. The names by which the disciples were known among themselves were "brethren," "the faithful," "elect," "saints," "believers." But as distinguishing them from the multitude without, the name "Christian" came into use, and was universally accepted. This name occurs but three times in the New Testament (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16).

Poland is a Catholic country (over 95% of the population), and the Catholic Church plays a very important role in society.
