They didn't have cameras back in those days. Would you settle for the daguerreotype done some years later when I was wrestling a confounded Confederate soldier?

Seriously I have no idea where my high school photos are.

Probably hardly anyone over the age of 50 on this forum has any clues where their high school-era photos are any more. I've moved so many times since then, there's a trail of litter marking my progess across miles and miles of dirt and paved roads. As Sturgis has said, in my day we had daguerrotypes and tintypes and my high school actually published black sillouhettes because they were easier to print than getting the old tintypes engraved. Truth be known many of us never chiseled off our cave drawings from those cherished days, and even if we had, they'd be awfully heavy to lug around Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing .

Some years back, I saw it, but since then it disappeared.

Maybe, Mrs. Walter has a clue.

Here is a picture of my friends great grandson pointing at an image alleged to be me.

I don't think it is....looks more like that mastodon thief Throx who lived 4 caves over.

I can't find a HS pic but I did find this '54 passport pic, I would have been about 10.

Phoned her ... and she had.
However, everything else besides photos is stored at that place.
Because I've got the order, not to mess things around "so that no-one will ever refind anything" (wonder, what that could mean?), I've copied the photo from my draft card, which was taken some months prior to my 'Abitur' [= diploma that gives access to university education] at the 'gymnasium' [= high school]:

Me? Complicated? Pshaw!

Ok, let's see. Here's a picture from high school, but not the yearbook picture.
