Pucifer, after a cat in a Frederick Pohl novel. Or, maybe it was Pohl Anderson. Who knows after all these years.
uh, what's the prize for the winning name? A free kitten?

Why not just call her "coon cat"?
The cat is from Maine, so her name should start with "M"

Baxter (state Park)
Acadia (park)
Moose
Rangeley (lake)
Cadillac (mt.)
Bean (LL Bean)
The town near us is called "Meddybemps", howsat for a name the cat will hate.
Were starting to call her kitty.
I remember Toonces and maybe it will win. I do have to admit that Hokaloogie does have a Passamaquoddy Indian sound.

btw, 'Hackingupaloogie' has a native american sound to it, too...
I like Caput, War Pig and Toonces. How often do you actually call your cat by it's name? I only do about 40% of the time.
