Pucifer, after a cat in a Frederick Pohl novel. Or, maybe it was Pohl Anderson. Who knows after all these years.

uh, what's the prize for the winning name? A free kitten?

I suppose that Harriet Beecher Stowe would be too obvious. That's a nice name though.

The cat is from Maine, so her name should start with "M"

Mitzi - lots of cats in Germany are named Mitzi

The town near us is called "Meddybemps", howsat for a name the cat will hate.
Were starting to call her kitty.

I remember Toonces and maybe it will win. I do have to admit that Hokaloogie does have a Passamaquoddy Indian sound.

Somehow words with no vowels always sound like one is hocking up a loogie.

that's how we communicate, yes. through sneezing, coughing, dropping inanimate objects down the stairs, and just mumbling nonsense. all of it most likely means somethin in my language.

I like Caput, War Pig and Toonces. How often do you actually call your cat by it's name? I only do about 40% of the time.
