Well I had a primary hard drive fail (unmountable boot volume) and couldn't get it back so I had to get a new drive and reinstall Windoze.
So naturally I set all the keyboard and regional settings to UK during the install.
And also naturally I'd forgotten that the Logitech wireless keyboard I have has the quotes on the Shift-2 key and the @ on the right above the question mark.
So when I get this damn computer back together the quotes are above the question mark and the @ is on the Shift-2.
And it's driving me crazy.
I've tried changig the regional settings to the US etc... to no avail.
So, how on Earth do I get my quotes back on the Shift-2 key and the @ on the key above the question mark ?
keyboard muppetry
This may be foolish, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard?
Ummmmm. Nope.
Sorted it now.
I must have been going blind or something.
It's in Control Panel - Regional & Language - click the Languages Tab - click the Details button.
It had set itself to the American setting. Deleted it and restarted and it was all fine and dandy.
