What English word can have 4 of its 5 letters removed and still retain it's original pronunciation?
Seattle friend knows this one too.
"Queue" which would simply become "Q"!
Grrr! [grudgingly]Yes you are right[/grudgingly]
LOL I've gotten two of your riddles in one week! That's more than I usually solve in a year! I usually read to much into them and confuse myself.
I love riddles there will be many more! I'll stump you yet.
But I'm curious, did you use the "run-through-the-alphabet-and-see-what-letters-are-5-letter-words technique"?
I sort of did. People use "Cee" and "Dee" all the time for letters so it was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the question. So I counted out the alphabet trying to think of a 5 letter spelling for each letter. I had to double check the spelling on "Queue" because I almost always use "Que".
With riddles I either get them quickly or never. It just depends on the first thing that pops into my head when I read them.
I'm the same way with riddles. I have no patience so I'd better see the answer quickly.
