One of the problems about having our editing button disappear as soon as a post is replied to is that if you have to add something, it is too late and you can't edit.
I posted the long article in two sections and was about to return to it to get the URL to add to my post. But too late, someone had alaready replied and my edit button was gone.
This change was recently made by Craven to speed up A2K functioning---as I understand it.
