I was recently contacted by someone, claiming to be a director of a web-design co. based in Madrid Spain, who said that he viewed my resume posted online. He thought that I seemed qualified to serve as their US customer service rep. My main task would be to receive US client payments in the form of checks in my name, and cash them on behalf of this said web design co., then wire the money to them in Spain after taking a 15% fee for myself! Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?
That's a new "wrinkle" on the old scam from Nigeria.
Just remember "there is no such thing as a free lunch", and you won't be taken.
