The Boy Who could Change the World

It took one moment for her to fall, and two to realize that she had fallen. What had begun as an ordinary day, would not be ending that way. It took one precise second for things to change. In that moment, one thing happened, he walked in. The atmosphere altered itself as if making way for his presence. The world around her may not have felt it, but she certainly did. He walked, she noted, he moved, she remembered, it was an obsession. In her mind, he was an idol, put up on a pedestal waiting to be honored. In the hallways fleeting glances would be made, a smile exchanged. These soon become the highlights of her last days. Things were risky continuing on like this though, letting her heart be taken, she knew he would be gone, he told her once. He would disappear. As the last days came, her heart soared at the notion of being free, but part of her was still chained down to the risk the last days made her take. The final moments would make him disappear. When it was over, she obsessed, fretted, vented, all over one little thing, one insignificant he. She had lost hope, until one day he appeared. He was alone, in the far corner, at a round table. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed around her again. How does one have such an effect on me she thought? She sat hidden from him, pondering her next move, nothing came, and nervousness and anxiety had taken effect. She was frozen. Nothing would happen. She had lost her chance, he had left. Never again would she see the boy who could change the world.

I think that expressing herself through writing like this will help her to overcome her shyness Wink

I'll keep what you said in mind. However, this is supposed to go to a competition for my English class. The requirement is that it is a 250 word non fiction essay. This is kind of based off a real life expierience but I have exaggerated it alot. I'm not sure whether or not it would fall under non-fiction or fiction.
