HELP!!!

I took my ex to court (in California) for not complying with an order on our disolution of marriage judgement. The judgement says that I can be awarded attorney fees if he does not comply. He did not and I was awarded attorney fees forthwith (?) however he has not paid them. It has been a year and I want to file a lien against his property in Nevada.

I have no idea how to do this and the attorney that handled the case said I needed to do it. I am sure for another fee he would but he said it would not be a problem for me. Rolling Eyes Well... It is probably simple for someone who knows how to do it. Anyone know what to do??

Thanks,
eyes

this is difficult

There are no easy answers to your question. This is a complex area of the law and requires specialized knowledge and skill to engage in successful collection of judgment debt. It's a time-consuming task and you are bound to encounter a number of curve balls. As you are discovering, getting a judgment is the EASY part--collecting from a judgment debtor is extremely difficult.

I suggest that you consult your attorney or another attorney for professional help and advice on how to collect your judgment. It's complicated and I don't think you can do it by yourself even if you read all the relevant Nevada statutes. Reading them is one thing, understanding them is quite another.
