Creating an account with no phone

I'm trying to create a new account for email. The prompt asks for a phone number - I do not own a phone. I suffer from telephonophobia. I cannot talk on a telephone. I have not had a phone since 2009. Please help me find a solution. Thank you, Red

go see a friend or family member and ask if you can use their number...
