There is a Spirit intent as to why it is given: "What God has joined together let no man put asunder." This command reaches far, far beyond the physical marriage of male and female; husband and wife becoming one unit. So, "with all thy getting, get understanding," and "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?"

Most people strictly look upon sex, not all, as a means of pleasure, to satisfy lust, or for passing their genes into the next generation for advancement of the human race and their legacy. With no understanding or little psychology of original intent and purpose. When the act of sex is analyzed intellectually it is resolved to be a human function for continuation of the human race by DNA merging which is a continuation of humanities suffering, struggles, pain, pleasure, and a thought systemic of inherited beliefs instituted by the kinsmen of yesterday who named things they knew not the origin nor Spirit of. With little understanding of sex true intent and purpose, sex is a function all humanity indulge in with a lack of knowledge being that of purification through the movement of Spirit.
Without exception sex is an earth function of two different individual DNA'S perpetuating earth's dual mentality within the three dimensional realm of "bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh" conscious soul. material body, awareness, mind, imagination, and conceptual ideals, opinions, theories, superstitions, earthly traditions, religious and philosophical rituals, and interpreted psychological beliefs of dual relativism. Two sets of thoughts handed down generation after generation through merging DNA of two individuals whose pattern of thinking, believing, and living from flesh's outer objective visions, and inner subjective feelings of that have enslaved personalities by-way of their progenitors who never understood they had to move through the mind to get beyond the conscious soul of the dual multiplicity system of thinking.
The initial principle beginning of the flesh system is physical intercourse. Each individual has entered this parenthesis of time by DNA merging, and became living soul acquiring the others participants DNA substance and essence while coupling. It is through the merger of the male sperm and female egg where the reality of human thought enslavement takes on the formation of physicality and mind sets of the dual thought system of beliefs instituted by man's ancient kinsmen. Each generation has followed, and intellectually enlarged upon this repetitive human mindset.
It is through human sexual intercourse where the cross-bearers of humanity lives or dies by lack of knowledge and depending on their own understanding. It is where one choose to follow the ways of the prince of this world, "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me," Mt.4:9. Or become weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breath of material contemplation, “ Get thee hence, Satan! For it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Mt.4:10.
The crossroad is where one mounts the lynching tree "to die for my sake", or sink deeper into the earth's dual personalities crying ; "If thou be the Christ, save thyself save us", or crying, why blaspheme this innocent one who did "no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth...but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously"? It is here, betwixt the dual personalities one must bear their own cross of living and dying. It is while one is mounted upon the lynching tree one becomes cemented in the standard to "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with his God." and dare not to pass Mother Earth's dual chromosomes into another generation.
Whether sex is physical or mental, direct sex between masculine and feminine minds is the only way perpetuation of the belief man is separated from God can occur. Mental is the way Mother Earth subliminally expands the good traits of Dr. Jekyll, and evil trait of Mr. Hyde personalities in mankind's consciousness. The act sex itself is not considered an abomination. Sex does not homogenize the human pattern of dualism, however, with earth's dual personalities fighting for dominance, it keeps the human biological system and conscious mind alive with the lie Spirit has to wait.
Humanity lives between two worlds whose soul swings as a pendulum passing the touch of inherited ignorance, from the moment man's outer objective visions, and inner subjective feelings overrode the will of the Spirit of "Christ in you, the hope of glory." {"Who changed the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature instead of the Creator?"} Because the human mind retains the human thought system and established laws, humanity has not dissolved the dual lineage of Adam within it, and has continues to live between the open legs of temptation.
Men cannot comprehend their thoughts are their children and have nothing to do with God when in agreement with the world's collective thought system.
