Visiting Boston this Weekend

My daughter scored Ariana Grande tickets so we're off to Boston and I have a night free since my wife and daughter will be at the concert. Any good ideas for things to do there? I've got the Freedom Trail, North End food tour, harbor cruise, USS Constitution. What am I missing? A2K headquarters?

@Region Philbis,
Excellent question. My daughter booked the Air BNB. I'll get the address from her.

@engineer,
Have a great time.

Apparently the Jocks left traffic cones on all the statues over there.

I think it might have become a "thing."

If you hear anyone saying, "Jings," "Crivvens" or "Hoots" it may be permanent.

My daughter decided she wants to see a baseball game, so that's in the itinerary now.

@engineer,
Good time to see the SAWX! However, decent tickets will be hard to obtain and Pah-king has never been easy (or cheap).

@Ragman,
Well, the streak ended last night, so maybe it won't be so bad. My daughter got tickets but I have no idea how good they are.

We're in the Roxbury area if that means anything to you. It certainly doesn't to me.

@engineer,

Roxbury is southwest of Bahstin... we're not very familiar with it, but it's not too far from Fenway Park...

@engineer,
For something a bit more off the beaten path and tucked away, try The Liberty Hotel (formerly a prison).
From the outside, it looks like a standard historic hotel, but the interior was once the Charles Street Jail.

The highlight is the Alibi bar, located right in the former prison wing. It sees fewer tourists than the city center, and in the evening, the atmosphere is quite distinctive - almost cinematic.

@Region Philbis,
I visited someone in Roxbury once. I was walking up a hill and actually, for the first and only time in my life, slipped on a banana peel!

@hightor,

there used to be a jerk in downtown Bahstin who would regularly toss a banana peel on the walkway of the Summer Street bridge.

i always made sure to kick it into the roadway so no one else would slip on it...

Well, Boston did not disappoint! The harbor cruise was excellent, saw lots of baseball action at Fenway (unfortunately all in the Bluejays' favor) and got to meet Jespah and Rp. My wife and daughter also enjoyed Arianna Grande
