So I said: "Paint my House"

Delaware still has an equity court system (New Jersey has the shadow of one, but Delaware still has separate courts for equitable relief, such as preliminary injunctions, as opposed to legal relief, which would be monetary damages). Delaware is also the only state whose boundaries are the product of a legal ruling (New Jersey vs. Maryland). There are three counties in Delaware: New Castle, Kent and Sussex. New Castle (which contains Wilmington) has more people than the other 2 counties combined.
Delaware, the First State AKA the Blue Hen State (I went to Law School there, hence I learned this stuff).

I don't know anyone who has done it, so I'll beg off. I do know that the individual prosecuting the case must do it himself, without an attorney in court. The defendant may have a lawyer. I believe New Mexico is unique in this respect.
One semester of business law was required for my associate's degree and we were lucky enough to have the San Juan County district attorney as an instructor, and took advantage of the opportunity.

And if you get on a plane in Detroit and fly south, the first foreign country you'll cross is Canada. Check it out on a map if you don't believe me.

the eastern most point of the US of A is in... ALASKA.
if you go due south from the esternmost part of Maine, you pass entirely WEST of South America.
when you travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific through the Panama Canal, you travel EASTERLY (south-east, actually).

Thunderstorm season again here in North Texas. This is from today's Fort Worth Star-Telegram-
"How big can hail get? The largest hailstone in the U.S. was measured at 7 inches in diameter, with a circumference of 18.75 inches, in Aurora, Neb. on June 22, 2003. That's almost as big as a soccer ball."
Another good reason not to live in Nebraska!

Here's some useless trivia that's stuck in my head:
Originally, on The Golden Girls sitcom, Betty White was set to play the hotsy-totsy character Blanche and Rue McClanahan was to play ditsy Rose but they were switched to avoid typecasting. Remember, Betty White had played the horny cook show hostess on Mary Tyler Moore's show and Rue McClanahan was the ditzy next door neighbor on 'Maude.'

LOONY LAWS
In Los Angeles you cannot bathe two babies in the same bathtub at the same time.
In San Francisco, if you are walking an elephant down Market Street, it must be on a leash.
In California, no animals are allowed to mate publicly within 500 yards of a school, tavern, or place of worship.
And, most puzzling of all:
In Alaska, looking out of an airplane window at a moose is illegal.

More loony laws (or are they?):
